Winding Down for the School Year

As we approach this last full week of school, students are completing lessons on the subscription site and getting some extra reading time in with Raz-Kids. I will be sending home a reminder about continuing to visit these websites to keep skills sharp over the summer.

The Spooner Memorial Public Library will be sponsoring a very special program Tuesday night, May 22nd at our school called Astronomy for Everyone: Size & Scale of the Universe featuring Astrophysicist, Dr. Kevin Manning. Find out more at his website Look up at the Stars. His presentation includes hands on activities and a chance to view the night sky with a powerful telescope.  Meet in the gymnasium at 6:30 p.m.

This will be a kick-off event for the summer reading program sponsored by the public library called "Dream Big - READ". Students may begin signing up for summer reading fun on June 6th.
